1. Who we are

CentreMatch ("we") is the data controller for the CentreMatch tennis matchmaking service, operated from Helsinki, Finland. Contact: info@centrematch.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Account: email address and login details (including sign-in with Google or Apple).
  • Profile: name, skill level, optional photo, preferred courts and privacy setting.
  • Activity: challenges, match dates, times, courts, scores, practice sessions, rankings and statistics.
  • Social: friends, chat messages, blocks, reports and feedback you send us.

3. Why we use it (legal basis)

  • To provide the service — matchmaking, scheduling, scores and rankings (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the community safe and prevent misuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To send match notifications by email, such as when you are challenged (performance of the service).

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Who can see your information

Other players can see your profile and match activity. If you choose a private profile, only your friends can view your details and challenge you. "Looking to hit" posts can be shared with friends only or with everyone.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers for cloud hosting, database storage, sign-in and email delivery (sent from notify.centrematch.com). They process data only on our behalf to run the service.

6. Cookies and local storage

We only use strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in and remember your app preferences. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, so no consent banner is needed.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and personal data are permanently removed.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its processing. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → "Delete account permanently", or email us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
